I was looking at spacers, and have come to the conclusion of 16 mm spacers. They look best. The MINI looks kind of goofy with 25mm spacers, my friend has them and they look pretty bad. I am going for the "low and wide" look, and I am a huge fan of wide wheels, but they just don't look good on the MINI... VW, yes. MINI, no.

Would you post some pics if you get the 16mm's installed? I have been thinking about this as well.

I think 25mm will make the wheel/tire stick out evenly with the fender though. Then again, 16mm might work too.

The MINI, in stock form, measures 15mm exactly from the tire to the edge of the fender. So technically, 16 mm is poking out 1mm, which is perfect (in my opinion, of course). 25mm sticks out 10mm more, and it looks very... well....

I have 15mm spacers with the stock GP wheels and JCW springs. The rear tires rub on the wheel arch and wheel well liner when the suspension is loaded. I had to trim the plastic to eliminate the rub. 16mm will rub a little more. I suspect 25mm will not work in the rear. The front has plenty of room, might even be enough for 25mm but I have not tried.

Thanks for the info RednBlk...and Quikmni. I guess 25mm is out of the question.
