GP 1051 owner cheching in
I've owned 1051 since new but just joined. I need to be talked out of selling it. It has only 750 miles total since new. I was thinking of selling it because my new Porsche GT3 RS just came in. Everytime I get in the GP and take it for a short ride I just don't want to sell it. I have some local people interested in it. I would have to get what I paid for the car when new. I paid $1500 over sticker at that time. As you can see, a little confused.

Not a great time to sell...even with those crazy low miles, you'd be looking @ about $22k give or take a k or two. With all due respect to that spanky new P-car (very nice!) I'd put some grin miles on your GP and wait for the economy to heal itself to see what happens for the GP sale. They are completely different beasts as you prolly know, vive la difference! If it's a garage issue put the wife's ride on the street ...unless her's is the GT3!

Hey Riz welcome to the forum. Do not sell you GP. Mr Wilson is right bad time right now I think he is way low but realistically it would probably sell in the 26-28k range. Think of it this way better gas mileage, lower insurance and probably would not be as worried as to where you park it as opposed to the Porsche. I have had 2 GP's and am sorry I let the first one go. Good luck with your decision. Cheers Gman

I didn't mention that I bought mine back 12/09 for $21.5k with 6250 on the clock...now +1k, obviously not a daily driver...hence my price range comment. There is a GP listed right here in this forum for w/ 20k miles or so that is down to 20 grand. You do the math but we both agree that it's not a good time to sell IF you don't have to...esp if you bought one of the originals. Patience to the OP.

Thanks everyone - I decided to keep the GP for now. I was able to delay pickup of my RS for a couple of weeks so I can come up with more money instead of selling the GP.
I am now interested in getting the GP parts that were available for this car such as the GP front strut brace, shift lights, GP indoor car cover. Does anyone have a list of all the GP specific parts/part numbers for the USA? Any good sources for these parts?
Thanks again to all who responded, it actually helped me decide.

Riz, did you not get the indoor car cover when you bought it new? Should have all GP's came with this, dealer may have just forgotten to give it to you. As far as GP parts, there were no extras for the GP. You can get alot of JCW parts for it such as aux gauge package, outdoor cover, license frame(actually a GP specific accesary), Strut tower brace, then of course the interior parts leather or carbon fiber dash and down tubes, shift ****( leather or suede) handbrake cover( lea or suede/alcantra), shift light(better one is the R56 version through Alta), also underdash parcel shelf( very useable), floor mats and rear mats. Some of the vendors here offer alot of these OEM parts and try Morristown Mini parts websight as well. Hope all this helps. Oh yea one more item you will love is the JCW steering wheel in leather or suede/alcantra, I love mine. Have fun If you want some more info PM me and I'll send my number and give you alot more info.

If you got a cover with your GP I think you are the lucky one. I did not recieve a cover with mine and I do not believe they came with the car. If I am wrong I would certainly contact my dealer.
