I might as well induct us into the club too I guess. We picked ours up on the 18th.

Sign me up with my first Lightning Blue Mini. I should have my LiB/Silver Clubman in about two weeks.
My '03 Cooper is Chili Red/White and we wanted something different this time. Actually, the blue/black leather/cloth seats and blue line interior on a car we saw at the Clubman launch really sold us and the exterior color just followed. I hope this car stands out from the crowd as much as the red/white one does, and I think it will.
My significant other and I are discussing names for the new addition, but none have been, "that's it" yet.

pyskacz, I really like your LiB Clubman logo in your sig. How can I "steal" it from you, if I may?

I'm also a "soon-to-be'" owner of a Lightning Blue S. It is somewhere in the Atlantic Ocean right now, slowly but surely, making its way to Port Hueneme(sp?) via the "Canal". Should have it some time in the first week of April!! I can't wait until it gets here. I'm also in the process of a name hunt, narrowed it down to five or so!!

Hendricks...

Just wondering how do you like your interior ? Seats especially.

I'm waiting on my Cooper S to get shipped , and ordered a similar interior
to yours, but have the Piano black instead.

(Mainly concerned with comfort, etc of the seats. (Ordered my interior without
actually sitting in a pair of the cloth/leather ones)

My interior specs are :
Pacific Blue Black seats
Anthracite headliner
Chrome line trim
Piano Black interior
Pacific Blue Dash trim

Lightning Blue /White , with the white wheels exterior

Just looked over your specs a little closer, and other than
the JCW aero kit , stripes, and driving light , we're very similar.

Side note, how bad have the wheels been to keep clean? Any tips?

Seats are AWESOME....very comfortable and very stylish....infact my dad just got his custom '08 MCS JCW, and he had the same sport seats with custom leather to match in black and BRG, but even the leather are not as comfortable as the cloth...the sport seats with the pacific blue gives you the best of both worls...that and they heat up faster in the winter, coming from a Hoosier in Indiana....Chrome line trim is a plus for the inside, happy i went with that and the blue dash, but i got the checked dash with the blue, and im kinda wishing i had done black....but still nice......as far as the wheels are concerned....yes very tough to keep clean, but worth it...until you see it in-person, you just dont understand the TRUE affect of White wheels, white roof, caps, and stripes....it helps make the car...however if you are going to spend the money to make you car look good, you are also going to take the time to take care of it...one thing be SURE to buy is break dust remover because it shows on the white...other than that im confident you MCS will look awesome...anything else dont hesitate to ask, or more pictures....tomorrow i add the DDM street intake, ALTA boost and water temp gauges, and painting my JCW break calipers Lightning Blue with high temp paint....should be sswweeeett!

Thanks for the reply...

Great to hear about the seats. They looked like they'd be perfect with the lightning blue, from other pics I've seen, but any positive input helps .

Hadn't thought of the brake calipers in blue... Please post pics of that once they're done. Sounds like it would really help the overall look of the car.

Regarding pictures, the more the merrier. Looking at pics of your Mini seems to help with my wait. I've even resorted to a little cheap Lightning blue model Mini for the dash of my other car... just to give me something to look forward to every day .

One other thing with the pictures. It helps to show more of the true color of the lightning blue, vs. the MINIUSA pics which seem to make it look quite a bit darker than it really is.

Had originally picked Pepper white. I think changing my mind was a good idea. (Though not meaning it as a slam against all the PW owners...<g>.

Agreed! That's why 'Watson' is Lightning Blue, too! And Hendricks448, your LIB is gorgeous!! Can't wait until I can post some pix myself. I opted for the black leather seats myself but the blue was a real consideration!

Hi Guys,
Cool clubman...we had the launch rcently in Australia and I had the chance to be "thrown around" (literally) in the Clubman and Clubman S around a test track set up in a car park at the Melbourne Motorshow.

The test drivers certainly mad the most of the classic mini handling. The clubman's certainly have not lost any of the traits that the Cooper and Cooper S has, that's for sure.

Here's mine. Picked it up Monday and it's been a great ride this week. Plus, after three days of reading the manual and going through all the settings and control options, I think I've got all the systems down.
I also love the Pacific blue seats. Other features are auto, nav, Bluetooth & usb/Ipod.
