I just wonder why they thought it necessary to use a MINI - aside from the possibility that one of them *had* one that for some reason they wanted to trash.

Of course, I always wonder about folks who get their jollies from being destructive.

Small light, new. Needed a projectile like a 16" shell in weight. Testing rocket engines. Fun show. Just cant remember the name. It was a challenge thing between two teams. How far can we toss the MINI

I think it's pretty funny, actually. Let's face it--It's a car launch. Not your grandmother with rockets strapped to her walker.

Don't get me wrong, I understand how some folks anthropomorphize (sorry, I can't spell) their cars and so it becomes pretty offensive to see one of their "children" get launched through the goal post of bad TV.

Wanna know why they didn't use Hummers or Escalades? Silly goose, only NASA and US military have large enough rockets to launch these babies!
