Show us your... roads!!!

Out side Rutland, VT These foggy mornings seem good for the camera

Outer NW suburb of Chicago
Of course the dragon.

A local road that has become a hill climb event. For when I need a dragon fix but only have a few hours to spare.

One of several tight curves on the road.

Here's a tiny bit further down the road:
That road is the App Gap, route 17 in Vermont. There are a lot more photo worthy sections of route 17, but I haven't taken pictures of it yet. Lots of nice 180° hairpins.
Here's a bit of Granville Gulf, route 100 in Vermont:
That's one of my favorite pieces of road... not as hilly as the gaps / notches / passes.
This one is right up against the US / Canada border in Vermont:
Here's a piece of Vermont road that the MINI doesn't get to drive down:
And yes, that is an official road.

"roads", there's the floating bridge in Brookfield, Vermont. No supports under the bridge, it's just floating on a bunch of plastic barrels:
And yes, I have driven across it:
Here's Smugglers' Notch, route 100, Vermont:
In the winter, Smugglers' Notch sees a different kind of traffic:
And lastly, I honestly don't remember where this one is:

Of course. That is the Western Dragon.
Hwy 103 westbound (Squaw Pass Rd) from Bergen Park (Buchanan Ponds) towards Mt. Evans and Echo Lake, then down Chicago Creek Rd. towards Idaho Springs, CO.
Of course Idaho Springs is the home of the world famous Tommyknocker Brewpub and the big ol' wings that we drive up there for.
Come on out and enjoy the "Western Dragon" during MITM2 / CRTC (MINIs in the Mountains 2 / Coopers Return to Copper) on August 9-12, 2007 at Copper Mountain, CO. www.coppercolorado.com

Hey cool!
Didn't think there were many other loonies that took pictures of... ummm... roads
(my wife thinks I'm nutz). But nothing puts a smile on my face like seeing a series of complex twisties with elevation changes coming up. Usually it's pretty tough to get a shot of more than two corners in the same picture, but the winter helps.
Here's a sample of my turf.... mostly my motorcycling roads, but the MINI does pretty well on 'em too
.
Only downside is the place is infested with dumb **** suicidal deer... can't tell you how many I've hit already
.... but then again, that's one of the primary reasons I bought the MINI in the first place.

Say, I tried taking some pictures of my roads today . . . hard to do while driving . . . and they didn't come out well. Congrats to all the great photographers who have contribited these shots so far!

Just for random good fun, post some very motoring friendly roads using Google Earth. Either choose your favorite, or something you've stumbled upon randomly while playing on Google Earth avoiding studying for exams
I stumbled upon this road in western Virginia.

Can't find it now, but I was on a road in Puerto Rico that went from the Rain Forest down to a town known for its brightly colored buildings. The road had so many twists that the 10 miles took just under an hour, my arms were aching and my daughter barfed. I was driving a Grand Marque rental car. I'd love to drive that road in my MINI.
huh? I don't understand your first sentence. And that other thread is several months old and doesn't go past the first page. Why not participate in a new one?
