Show us your... roads!!!
Thanks Robin Casaday for teaching me how to post my picture here.
Here's our east-side-of-the-mountain road to Sandia Peak. The lower mountain ski Lodge and lifts are shown in the background - Winter's over. Continuing on for several miles it's a fun drive on lots of very twisty twisties to the top of the mountain. If you then hike some 2 miles south from there you end up at the top of the ski runs and at the High Finance Restaurant (which is also the top of the tram that goes down the western face of the mountain to Albuquerque):

First 2 from Putnam County, NY and second 2 from Fairfield County in CT. The first pic is 301, perhaps this region's most famous motorcycling road. Sweet road 20 miles long.
and you live in az?? i might just have to visit
wow, you got some nice roads there in the US ...
people all over the world think the US only has slow, boring straight roads, with no bends and corners ...(thanks to Jeremy Clarkson :D )
but after seeing this thread ... I guess you could say "Myth Busted"
I'll take some pics of our roads shortly

One thing that impresses me (besides the wonderful shots) is that all of these roads are dead empty of traffic!
My commute to work is 20 miles of straight divided Kansas Hiway, no fun at all for a MINI!

The four snaps are from the Talladega Scenic Byway, AL. Let me know if you want detailed snaps of every twist and turn out there!

A sample snap from a parking spot near Santeetlah, NC. I'll upload my snaps from the Dragon (US129) later.

As straight as it can get - Somewhere near the Arizona/Utah border.

Okay, I couldn't resist posting more snaps. Here are some of the best from my recent run on GA-53/Burnt Mountain Rd/GA-108 loop. IMHO, its probably the best "curvy" road out here in GA. All snaps courtesy of my trusty photographer.
Enjoy!

A proper "S":

One of the straightest hiking paths you'll ever see:

Other random snaps:

I had to post this snap. Its definitely not about the road. Check out the plate!

Enjoy!

Nice roads. That's quite a scar for a hiking trail.
In the random snap, what does the sign with the car image say, "Caution, watch for maniacs in MINIs"?
A PT Cruiser clad like a Woody. I don't get it. Is it unusual to have surfer nostalgia in GA?

Here's a link to Albuquerque's road to Sandia Peak (Winter's over):

Would someone please tell me how to post this as a photo rather than as a link.

Go to the page that this photo is on (the link you provided) and Control Click on the image so a popup menu appears. Select "Copy Image Location".
In the message editor click on the little icon that has a mountain on it. Paste the URL you copied into the box for the URL.
Click OK.
"Curved roads - next 50 miles.
Speed limit
Cars: 40mph
MINIs: Your wish"

Heh heh, you might be surprised at the number of *woody* vehicles out in the rural parts of GA.

Here is one of my favorite streets:

It's a nice alternative, no stop signs, no traffic lights for a couple of miles. There is a roundabout too, great for shaking tailgaters.

Anyone live near Georgetown, ca? Wentworth springs road/Icehouse road has lots of twisties and nice, long straightaways to max out the speedo ! And there's ZERO traffic! Just the occasional rock or two that happens to be lying in the road around tight bends... and squirrels. Lots of them. Poor little buggers.
