Classic MINI (dealer) in Ohio
Sorry, I understand the definition of Invoice. I just wondered what the "Invoice" price would be compared to what I paid (which was $1000 off MSRP). No matter though, I'm happy with the car. It's not like I would have saved thousands I'm sure.
I just got back for their service dept, and the hood alignment was a non issue. However, it seems my iPod Nano is the problem, not the iPod interface. They tried other iPods and they worked just fine. They were helpful. Now I need to figure out why my iPod works in everything but the MINI, even though it worked in the MINI for a week and a half...

From what I've read, Dirge, if you got $1000 off MSRP, you got a great deal. Remember the days of $1000 (or more) OVER MSRP? Typically, a $25,000 car has about a 13% markup from invoice to MSRP. So figure that same car probably had an invoice of about $22,000.
Different times, though. It's tough to compare a deal today with one even yesterday. So much can change. For instance, Classic may be trying to increase their total volume in order to get a larger allocation of '07's. Who knows.....
I seems to remember reading something here about the iPod interface not working..... might be unrelated to your problem.

then I suggest u do so, because try as U may you will NOT be able to find any MINI at invoice or under. Buying a MINI is a completely different experience, from the financial end, than a Chrysler, or GM, or ford, or Asian product.
Sequence,
You may be correct about not being able to buy a MINI at invoice, but the fact still remains that Classic's AD STILL says they will sell you a MINI (50 to choose from) at "dealer invoice".
They have not changed that AD even after the talk in this thread. I'm not looking to cause any problems, and only wanted to pass on info about a good deal, but I would have a problem if I responded to that AD and was told it was incorrect (and not fixed) even after they were informed via phone call that the AD was here.
