MINIs in PC or XBOX 360 driving games?
you lost me on this 1080i support for PS2.
I use mine in prog scan 16:9 mode for my plasma, and use the composite cable harness, and that's about as good as it gets for PS2. I mean, the colors are bright, but it's like sprite graphics on that plasma.

Here's what you need to do. Before you head into a race, go to options, display and select 1080i. Of course, you'll need the component cables and possibly need to enable HD in the PS2 control panel beforehand.
I bought the XBOX360 and at 1080i on my 16:9 HD tube it is fantastic. I can't imagine the graphics getting any better. The semiconductor equipment I install/maintain and repeair make the chips for XBOX360 where I work at IBM so I'm a pretty proud owner. Guess you can blame me for any flaws in your XBOX360 CPUs, lol.

I'm not sure I know what you mean by enabling HD in the PS2 control panel, as I thought my plasma configuration options were limited to 16:9 aspect and progressive scan. But I'll take a gander. Honestly, I haven't fired up GT4 since I got the HDTV last November... I was too busy with Need for Speed Most Wanted!

It's worth investigating, means much improved graphics.

I downloaded the MCS for PGR3 last night. Always fun driving a virtual MINI. The dashboard view is spot on, though it's presented as a RHD with the original 2 spoke steering wheel. For game play though, the MINI was woefully under powered. It could only compete on the Novice levels. I was left in the dust on anything higher. I must note that the MINI cornered very well - almost no braking required.
I also played Fornza on the original x-box. That has a MINI as well. I'm looking forward to Fornza2 for the 360. Wrecking cars was much more humorous in Fornza. The car takes on serious damage, the windows break, performance goes down the tubes. Much more fun from a demolition derby standpoint.

One of the first games I saw featuring the new MINI was Shox back in 2002. The MCS was actually featured on the cover.
I just bought my daughters an Xbox 360 tonight for Christmas and rounded up a few games for each - my 13 year old is Star Wars crazy so the quest was not hard. For the younger one, I am counting on a crazy Pinata game keeping her occupied.
HOWEVER, I saw a dusty old version of Italian Job for $14 sitting in the bin - so Santa will be giving Dad a special present on Monday as well.... I will have to eventually get the other Xbox games with MINIs too....

Hey Jersey Bill, I got that d*mn pinata game for my kids. What do you think of it? Personally, I think some mind alterering substances are required for the best effect, but that's just me.
The 13 year old might not appreciate it the way me, my wife and our 4 and 6 year olds do, but the Star Wars Lego game based on the original trilogy has had us in stitches for a week now.
What part of Jersey are you from? I'm a Cherry Hill native living in SE Virginia now.

GTL for PC has the classic minis. You can set up a full field of minis, A blast!
GTR for PC has an addon mod (FREE) featuring new minis. Also a blast.
Both can be had for less than 20 bucks. Mid range to high end system recommended.
There are a few other older games I can't think of right now that had mini mods, all FREE! The PC is THE platform for driving sims.

Actually, I'm pretty embarassed to be on here now. When I started Forza 2, I went back to my roots and picked the '92 GTI as my starter car instead of the MINI.
I know, I know. I'm an awful person...
