It's all yours. A warm welcome to the Peerage!
Oh, and thanks a bunch for posting the pic. Really love the black wheels and the viper stripes.

Congrats! Just request a number that's not yet taken on the Master List, or I can assign one to you if you're not particular.
But of course. Let us know what number you'd like.

Well, it was...until you claimed it.

Post a pic or two of you new beauty when you have the chance. We'd love to have a look.

I know that 9001 has already been bequeathed... and so has 666 (I wanted that one, too). But, 6.66 still remains unclaimed.
Just a thought since I claimed 66.6.

So we just ordered our second MINI. A Countryman S to be exact. Alas, Pepper White is not offered on the Countryman, so Cosmic Blue was the choice (still a black roof, of course).
Fear not, El Kabong is not going anywhere. I realized the other day I've passed the 5 year anniversary with him and still enjoy owning and driving El Kabong as much today as the day I picked him up.
Long Live the Peerage!
Hear, Hear to Gil-galad for maintaining the order!

Some sad news to report. Last night on my way home from Nashville with our new puppy, El Kabong was totaled. I'm still in shock and totally heartsick. Luckily all passengers in El Kabong walked away, albeit a bit bruised and shaken. A car coming from the other direction crossed the center line, crossed 2 lanes and slammed us doing at least 50mph. Thankfully, I've attended a number of club driving school days at Road Atlanta and could react quickly enough to deflect the head on and ended up with him hitting us in the drivers side. I'm heading out to the wrecker's yard today to recover stuff from the car and will take some pics in the daylight.
I've alerted my MA and he is keeping an eye out for a low mileage PW/B '06 MCS. sigh

Not to be gruesome, but am looking forward to seeing the photos....my spouse is leary of a MINI as a possible replacement for her Volvo V50...for size/safety reasons.
So glad to hear you and your passengers are O.K! Had to be a heart-stopping experience to see that develop in front of you. Another testimony to the value of GOOD driver education and car control experience/training.

As to the safety of the car, all the first responders were totally amazed at the sturdiness of the MINI. Especially as witnesses stepped forward and filled in the blanks of the accident. The one cop did say that had I been in a more top heavy vehicle, it is pretty likely I would have flipped over the guardrail and ended up down the bank in the lake. We did go to the hospital for a general check up just to make sure all the glass that ended up in every nook and cranny was gone and to check a massive bruise I have on my left underarm and side. I guess with the adrenaline rush last night I didn't notice anything, but sure did this morning!
My husband, who just last week ordered a MINI Countryman for himself, is beyond impressed with the outcome and thankful I wasn't driving my old SUV from my pre-MINI days.
I am a total novice at insurance, claims, and police reports so cross your fingers for me that all works out in the end.
