You got me on that one (the color issue). Frankly, I think the black top looks great on any color, because it integrates all the parts between the glass with the top. Like I said, all those rolling jelly bellies look good in any color.

surfblue, just go with all PW, it's easy to add vinyl to the roof later, in whatever color or design you'd like!

I first wanted an all PW and was going to get the roof painted silver and put a silver (factory) swoop stripe on the bonnet. My MA wasn't too thrilled about doing that and then I talked myself out of it. I'm real glad I got the black roof color, but I'd SURE like to see one like I originally thought up.

 

Out of curiousity, Julia, what about it was Aka not thrilled about? Sending it over to IBS or Rapid for paint? I guess it's a good thing Art's more adventurous!

 

mininana, that combo sounds beautiful. Unless I could go look at my MA's house and their design taste, I wouldn't let them help me make decisions regarding the purely aesthetic aspect of my car. Now, the performance aspect , that's another story! I was more than happy to be talked into an S with LSD.....

I love the PW and B combo... I baught the grills to go with it... i would like to eventually have all the chrome on the car powder coated black as well. other than that i think the car is beautiful as it is especially in PW and I have no plans to change much else on the exterrior. . . with the exception of the rims. . . I can never make up my mind about rims.

 

Working in NYC, I'm laying claim to 911 (as all the other numbers I would have chosen are already claimed - 8, 13, 66, 69, although I thought about claiming 2 or 15 for my two favorite NY Yankees in my lifetime or 24 in honor of the greatest baseball player ever, period).

I'm also thinking of getting that checkboard decal for the short roof lip that i see is now being made.

 

Have checkboard mirror caps (exterior and interior), as well as checkboard windscreen. When is enough enough? Also may get the checkboard eyes for the engine bay. I need help! Is a checkerboard intervention in my future?

I had the same thought, as someone described above, about adding some color via vinyl if I get bored of all PW. There was a beautiful PW MINI at the Dragon 2006 that had orange stripes down the middle.... Creamcicle!

And on the 100% PW topic, can you call a MINI 100% PW if it still has black arches???

I thought about going all PW because after my MINI Jango is my favorite, but now I think maybe when my paint is worn I'll go with something like an orange/white or red/white. I really love the Bollinger red and white MINI. For those of you who don't know which MINI I mean it's was a special one made in a Bollinger Champagne theme.
