I'm back in the club!

I originally had an R53 PW/B MCS (2005).

Traded for an R56 Lightning Blue/W MC (2009).

Now, I'm back in an R56 PW/B MCS (2012)!

 

Put me down for 1127. :D

 

Noob here . Just picked up an 06 MCS one week ago to replace my old Audi A4 avant which now goes nicely with my wife's CR Clubman. I've got big plans for it and can't wait to get started.

I'll take #279 since it seems to be available.

Oh and the car as it stands now, can't wait to lose the wheelgap.

Pretty bold Gin Coop! I like the side stripes - how did you do the bonnet stripes? Can’t wait to see it dropped, too.

 

You need a black grill. The chrome is too bright. I like the color green though. Good effort!

 

Agreed mini coop. I will be going with a black honeycomb grille and spraying all chrome pepper white.
Albiecrazy, my buddy owns a vinyl shop in Selden on Middle Country Road called the Sign Factory. I didn't want the "normal" bonnet stripes so he customized these for me. I believe he made a template for them so if you want a version of these stripes he should be able to produce a nice kit for you. His email is adam@lisignfactory.com. Just tell him you saw Joes mini with the lime green stripes and he will hook you up.

 

small world... someone I know through VW's (whom I can't remember now) was friends with someone at that shop and mentioned them a while back when my wife was getting her Clubman. We never did end up going there but I do still remember it (I used to live right up the road in Pt Jeff Station).

One more idea for the car... maybe have the shop wrap your mirror caps in lime green as well?

 

I was considering that! I am also contemplating wrapping the pillar in lime green. Seems like there is to much pepper between the bonnet and the quarter panel stripes. I live like 15 minutes from his place. Known him for over 10 years and has always done great work. Stand up guy to!

not sure why there are 2 but I too posted here first, then was directed over there so thought I'd guide you there as well. Don't expect much more action there though, it's just as slow as this one... all in all, the Mini forum is much slower than other car forums I've been on (mainly VW forums), but you get used to it since the quality of posts and members seems to be higher over here

 

6964 is no longer in my possession. I went back to a Miata. I tried to stay away, but resistance was futile. It's now owned by the guy who owns the dealership I bought my '12 Miata from. It sits in his shop next to his Evora, several Jags, a vintage air cooled 911 and random other cool cars. My salesman emailed me and told me he absolutely loves the car.

Recently Painted calipers red, stubby antenna, black trim grill and have added 2011 JCW red stitching, steering wheel, shift **** and E-brake gaiter, also black out steering wheel.
