OK we all own MINIs but what's your second car?
Prior to the mini I was a honda tuner for years... kept at least one for the street, and a dedicated track car. I realized my fun/dollar ratio wasn't high enough though, so I sold it all and bought the mini and a motorcycle. I change bikes every couple of months. The bike is my primary, with the mini being the bad weather car. My wife drives a RAV4, which suits her well.
I wanted an Elise, but got the mini because I thought a baby was on the way.

Well, right now I still have my 2001 PT Cruiser, which I still drive to the barn or when I know I'm going to have alot of groceries, or stuff. We also have a 2005 Nissan Titan Crew Cab LE. Those 3 cover any eventuality and if not there's always our Kubota Tractor

In order we've gone through these 2nd cars while owning MINIs:
98 Nissan Maxima
02 Tundra
01 Audi TT
94 Sentra SE-R (Current)
We've kept the Mini longer than just about any other car we've owned. We'll probably continue to tear through 2nd and 3rd cars but i don't expect the Mini will go anywhere anytime soon.

Winter beater
Most winter days I take pitty on the 05 MCSC and take the 03 Ford Explorer. There are way too many cinders on the mountain roads, and I have not had the clear bra applied just yet. I've had cars that needed a new paint job after 3 months of winter driving. All in the name of MINI preservation.
Other than my MINI, he has an '03 Mitsu EVO and we have an '05 Scion xB. After seeing pics of the new Scion xB 3.0 though, I keep thinking about trading the current xB for one of the Envy Green ones
2003 Honda Element. Same FWD transverse-mount concept. Hauls the outdoor gear the MCS won't. Also, the dog prefers the Element's floor over the MINI's leather. Far better radio, and handles curves well. Between the two, I have the perfect car.
2004 Toyota Sienna mini van and a 1988 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck. People hauler and a stuff hauler. 1998 Fleetwood Discovery 36' RV too but that is for vacations and not driving around town.
My MINI is the funest to drive though, no surprize.
Motor on!

The turbo engine combined with the Haldex Quattro is a very confidence-inspiring setup That said, when I test drove the MCS it was a MUCH more involving drive and WAY more fun

Mine's older. 1948 Chevy 1/2 ton, 5 window, 235 c.i., 4 on-the-floor, 6 volt. Unrestored is a nice way of saying rolling wreck!

I HAD both my MINI and a red 91 Miata (slightly modified :P) But after not driving the miata for a week, it was gone.
I couldn't have a second car, i can't go a day without driving the MINI!
But if TFQON can count the SO's vehicle... a Chevy Blazer haha.

My other cars:
2003 Ford Expedition
2003 Ford Focus (mostly my son drives)
2003 Audi A4 (my girlfreind drives)
1973 VW Microbus
Come spring I think I will be weeding out the dead weight. The only sure keepers are the MCS and the VW Microbus.

My wifes daily driver is an 04 Tacoma 4x4, and then we have an 01 F350 4x4 crew cab dually. (I know huge) but is is used for its intended purpose. It hauls hay, 30' gooseneck trailer w/ four horses, and enough firewood to get me thru the winters. Also supplies for whatever home improvement project I'm working on at the time.
