Woah, did you paint those wheels yourself? Or is it powdercoated?

 

It's a two color powdercoat. The original paint was chemically stripped (black with silver rim), then the red powder went on, then it was masked off, and powdercoated matte black. The full gallery is on my flicker page which you can find here.

Here's my new to me, 2003 Mini Cooper S

 

Anyone have a pic of a justa-cooper with white bonnet stipes? I have an 02 justa and debating on whether or not I want to put stripes on it. I think they could really compliment my white wheels+roof+mirrors. However, I really do like the classic look without the stripes.

I need pics to help me decide!

I really like the flat black-on-Jet Black graphics. It's subtle, but aggressive at the same time. Do you have iay issues with wax staining them? ...That concern is the only thing holding me back from further considering doing something like this as well...

Janzaruk, I'm pretty sure you have Midnight Black. This thread is for R53s whose paint colour is Jet Black. It was last used in 2005 on MINIs.

dont worry about it, I love the midnight blacks. much better than the astro black they brought out in 06 and up.
