According to the rules 502 should go to someone else and I should be 503 right or wrong?

I'm not an advocate of claiming numbers ahead of time but since it's been done here before, I suppose it's in the by-laws of the club which are probably posted here somewhere along with the virtual t-shirt inventory.

I'll take whatever number is next. It might be 503, but I'll wait for TheFutureQueenOfNebraska to post a list before I'm sure!

TORI ... TFQON administrates the numbers in sequential order.
The tradition has ALWAYS been you wait your turn and then claim whatever number. Some people have WAITED a long time, like KOOLMINI, for their number to come up (you CANNOT take a number out of sequence). When these long awaited numbers came up, we have always found the courtesy between the members to allow the long time waiter to have their number.
soocool, you seem the newbie in relation to Mira's request so I am just going to assume you have not read this thread to see how the tradition has worked. I would ask that you respect MIRA's long time request for 500 and just take 501.
Mira, I would imagine soocool will respect the tradition and allow you your choice.

Actually here is what the Site Guidelines state:
11. SIGNATURES A maximum of 300 characters OR an image with dimensions of 500 pixels wide by 100 pixels and filesize of 40k or less is allowed.
That rules out about 90% of NAM.
