So I'm torn between my next car want. I recently found a 13' full loaded "S" R56 w/ Recaro seats (low miles) and a 13' JCW Paceman ALL4 base options (100K in miles). I could upgrade the "S" to JCW status and it has the holy unicorn seats, I've been searching for forever. Then there's the 13' JCW Paceman ALL4 but its lacking NAV, HK audio and even Xenon headlights, but the fact that it's just a JCW Paceman makes it feel rare. Both have complete maintenance history and only 1 owner each.

Which would you choose?

 

I would pass on both and get another R58



Actually both are great choices but the rare seats….

 

If the S was taken care of, I would go that route. Those seats alone would be worth the price of admission. Most anything else can be added, but those are the rare piece.

 

My wife suggested that we buy the S, take the seats and swap them with my Coupe and then use the S as a trade in for the Paceman. Couldn't believe that it kind of makes sense.

 

Your wife sounds like a hoot! Would she also rent a Hellcat and engine swap it into your minivan over the weekend, too?

It makes sense emotionally, but not financially. You'll lose some money on the transaction and end up paying more overall.

 

Well, the S with Recaros sold and the JCW Paceman was less than acceptable, at least to my standards. Lots of rust and AI cleaned up posted pics.
