JCW Paceman next year.

The Motoringfile has an article about the new JCW Paceman coming out next spring. I don't know that the regular Paceman is even out. The pix look excellent on this thing. Who likes it?

I like it better than the Countryman. More in the true spirit of a MINI. I'm waiting for news on the "Rocketman" which had a prototype last year and was rumored to go into production in 2014. Has anybody heard anything?

Sheesh, is it just me or is everyone trying to take a piece of the RR Evoque pie? Porsche's Macan is coming out and now the Paceman(obviously different beasts). 2 door crossovers must really be selling well.

I wouldn't call it a crossover. It's got 4WD is all. Maybe a little better in snow, but not jacked up in the air or anything. In fact it's 1cm lower.

Probably not the best source but it's explanation is pretty synonymous regardless of the source:

Wikipedia:
"A crossover (or CUV: crossover utility vehicle) is a vehicle built on a car platform and combining, in highly variable degrees, features of a sport utility vehicle (SUV) with features from a passenger vehicle, especially those of a station wagon or hatchback"

Can you just imagine what this little gem is going to retail got with normal options? Mid 40's very easily I believe. That's BMW 135is territory. Mini JCW's are expensive, but I think that this one will be over the top.
