"ECS Product Specialist" doen't really know MINI

I recently ordered a Bremmen front spoiler for my R61s on ECS. The spoiler ended up not fitting into the bumper due to quality control issue (here is the video that shows the problem).

When I emailed ECS customer service, the associate insisted that the spoiler is only for R60s, not R61s. I pointed out to them the R61s shares the same front end as R60s, and their front bumpers have the same manufacture number, so what fits into the R60s bumper should fit into R61s. The associate told me, that is just the conclusion of "ECS Product Specialist".

I have no idea who is this "ECS Product Specialist", but it seems that the person doesn't really have any experience on the models and was simply following what popped up on the computer. Just sharing my experience before anyone considering making purchase from ECS.

Sorry about that, i think their was a mix up on the part or the part per Vin. Part per Vin says another thing even though the main part. We have the site designed off MINI ETK and not MINI known mods. Also I was out of the office and the BMW team might have been helping out.

https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/par...&q=51119806064 same bumper but MINI ETK says otherwise on the part.

We have people try to Mod parts all the time to fit.

I cannot see the video, please PM the fitment issues. I think their might be more to this and the bremmen part is mixed stock to the Base R60 possible? Does the bremmen part have the engraved or molded part number?

Also the R61 S All4 has a better design and thats the factory part per MINI ETK aka realoem. https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=51_8058

Has a more aggressive look and lip.

thanks

I went ahead and pulled the Genuine and the Aftermarket Bremmen on shelf and they match the clip in part and mold. What happens if you dont set the Genuine MINI part in the sun as well as the factory bumper, they are hard to install.

Also install from the center clips outward as these front lips tend to bind. Even on the genuine part. So my guess without seeing the video is you might not have installed from the center out?

Also you can always reach out to me here that's what I am for.

Front one is the one for your R61 MINI Pacemen S ALL4 ( my opinion a better looking lip) VS the Countryman S lower lip behind it in Bremmen Parts with No aggressive front lip.

You are welcome, let me know if you figure out if you can get that other part to work. I just cleaned up my inbox. I had a bunch of people PM over the holiday. Sorry for the PM quota I get a ton of PMs.

Thank you for the parts. Ordered over Xmas for a M7 Heat Shield and Turbo Blanket from Forge! Your employee was great on the price match!
