One Lap for a good cause
One Lap for a good cause
Hopefully I don't get into trouble for this post, because it does get to a sale. However, this isn't for me, and the auction is 100% all proceeds go to American Brain Tumor Association (abta.org).
This year in the 2025 One Lap of America, there were 2 Mini Coopers in the field. This was my second time running One Lap and I was very excited because there was a second Mini to compete with throughout the event. One Lap is a tough event on people and cars, Matt and Wes got the full experience:

The time has come to pay it forward to the American Brain Tumor Association. Thanks to Cars & Bids, Jonathan Wesley Griffith and I finally get to auction off the 2006 JCW MINI Cooper we raced in the Tire Rack One Lap of America event. The car is repaired and 100% of the proceeds will go to support ABTA.org
For those of you that haven't heard, it was 10 tracks in 8 days, 3600 miles, no support vehicle, pack your tools, pack your gear, and you get one set of tires. We overcame quite a few obstacles, turns out the easiest was hitting a deer on the day 3 transit.
The pinnacle of the race was in Michigan where we met up with Lily McNally and her ABTA team. Thanks to some fellow drivers every ABTA guest was able to take some parade laps. It was incredible.
Thank you to everyone who supported us along the way. We could not have done this without you! Courtney Lyons-Griffith, Sara Oaks, L.J. Deskins, Amanda Deskins, Cindi Hantke, Tony Hantke, Dana Watts, Chris Smith, Corey Mynes, Andy Dickson, Solomon A. Rosenthal, Bryan Humphries, Brad Mintun, Quentin Berg and Toyota USA, DadBod CarMod, Nikki Cheshire, Adrian Willoughby, Honda Racing US, Traci Steinke, Musser Automotive, Accuracy Automotive FCP Euro, Falken Tire, RaceBox.Pro You guys are incredible and were more instrumental than we could ever give thanks to.
Lasty, thanks to everyone that called to check in or shot us a text to keep going. The continual grind to figure out how to persevere was probably one of the toughest challenges I've ever faced. Your encouragement was wonderful and a breath of fresh air.
If you have any questions about the car or auction (will post when it goes live), feel free to reach out. It's a true JCW car, well sorted, 6-speed, with only 69K miles. I would love to add it to our stable, but I think Mrs. Oaks might be a little disappointed in me. 😄
