Too good to be true?

Hi all, had a 2004 Cooper Base Manual and regretfully sold it in 2008. Have since had various Coopers, Clubman, wife has Countrymans..but.. I want to get back into a manual before they become more scarce. I can do a 2 dr, but this 4dr came up and looks to be a great price. Miles are a little on the high side for this year of car, but not a deal breaker.

Is this deal too good to be true for a 2021??

https://www.carfax.com/vehicle/WMWXU7C00M2N01548

The dealer does not have great reviews online, but it's a pretty nice one with 16" wheels. Thoughts?

Thanks!
Oscar

This should be your red flag... My guess would be something wrong with the car that hasn't been reported to the CarFax record. Or they like to pull the 'bait and switch' routine.

If it doesn't give you the warm and fuzzy, its not the right place.

Yep, that a huge drop in price. Maybe something is wrong or oil leaks or something. I would scan it with a scanner first or inspect.

Great deals can happen from individual sellers - I have never seen one from a dealership though.

That being said - if I was local, I'd visit for a test drive with a scanner It would be fun either way

Best deals i found were at domestic main car dealers (ford, Chevy, dodge factory dealers) that know nothing about MINIs. They sometimes price them at a lower trim level. I have gotten some deals.

It's a 6 hour drive for me, so I may have to throw this fish back into the sea.

It's a Buy Here Pay Here lot, generally not considered the best type of dealer out there. Find out what their out the door price is. I've heard of plenty of Florida dealers with outrageous fees.

But, it's not an S and I'd want the extra oomph from an S.

I also prefer the looks of the 2 door over the 4 door, but that's a personal preference.

cheers
