Hi all, had a 2004 Cooper Base Manual and regretfully sold it in 2008. Have since had various Coopers, Clubman, wife has Countrymans..but.. I want to get back into a manual before they become more scarce. I can do a 2 dr, but this 4dr came up and looks to be a great price. Miles are a little on the high side for this year of car, but not a deal breaker.
The dealer does not have great reviews online, ...
This should be your red flag... My guess would be something wrong with the car that hasn't been reported to the CarFax record. Or they like to pull the 'bait and switch' routine.
If it doesn't give you the warm and fuzzy, its not the right place.
Best deals i found were at domestic main car dealers (ford, Chevy, dodge factory dealers) that know nothing about MINIs. They sometimes price them at a lower trim level. I have gotten some deals.
It's a Buy Here Pay Here lot, generally not considered the best type of dealer out there. Find out what their out the door price is. I've heard of plenty of Florida dealers with outrageous fees.
But, it's not an S and I'd want the extra oomph from an S.
I also prefer the looks of the 2 door over the 4 door, but that's a personal preference.
