ECS Customer Service is so poor... uggg
ECS Customer Service is so poor... uggg
I've got a many months old saga going now but I will keep it short...
Car - 2010 JCW - R56
Bought a Magnaflow Downpipe late winter - The inlet was 2 1/4" and the turbo outlet is 2 1/2" so I sent that back (I have another thread on this question). It took ECS Tuning two months to get my refund processed. After a month of waiting I just opted to buy another DP from ECS to get my car on the road... so I bought a Scorpion Sport Cat on July 2nd.
Though I did finally get my refund for the Magnaflow two weeks ago, I still do not have my Scorpion Sport Cat. It is lost by UPS... **** happens. Honestly, I get it. **** really does happen.
Here is why I post... to caution folks about ECS and why I will be using URO, XLR8, MiniMania, Detroit, etc. and ECS as a very last option.
According to ECS, they cannot refund me for the Scorpion downpipe because they are not the shipper. They are just a third part middle man and have no control over the shipping, tracking, order processing, etc. This was also what they told me when I asked about why the Magnaflow refund was taking so long. They just said they had to wait for the vendor.
These issues I had are not mine. In the case of the Scorpion DP, they've had my money for seven weeks, I have no part, they have no idea where the part is and according to their customer service, they have no timeline on resolution.
I went ahead and just ordered the Scorpion DP from XLR8 as that is the vendor Scorpion told me to use when I reached out to them. Now I am going to just dispute the ECS charge with my bank and go down that road (which is a total pain in the ***)
Not so much a question - just sharing so others know and can make informed decisions.
