No more Mini's (for now) :(

I recently sold my JCW and today sold my GP3 :(. My entire Mini experience has been wonderful i.e. both Mini's, the dealership, Mini- folks, FB groups and of course this forum.
I found it hard to part with the Mini’s but felt like it was time to try something else. I owned the JCW for 6 years and the GP3 for 1 year.

It was a pleasure dealing with you all.

Thank you,

Mike

What's next? Going for comfort, horse power, or practicality?

I grabbed a 24 C8 Vette with the Z51 handling package. Very different from the Mini’s. I tend to cruise in the vette whereas the Mini's I would zip around corners a bit more aggressively.

Congrats! I’m a corvette guy as well. Below is my C5 I love dearly. I just retired from the government but when I go back to work in October I am ordering a sea wolf gray 2025. I’m on the fence with the Z51 package - I love the paragon exhaust sound and would prefer an aftermarket spoiler, so really the brakes and enhanced cooling features are the only bonus but the aftermarket would answer those needs too. And forge line wheels will be in my garage before the car arrives 😂.

The corvette forum is a huge pile of info! Congrats again!

I like your upcoming color choice . I test drove a non Z51 (non Mag ride) and thought it was "body-rolly" not sure if was too short of a test ride but when I drove the Z51 (non Mag ride) the steering and handling felt sharper, and the roll was pretty much gone. There's a bunch of varying opinions regarding whether to go Z51 or not if one isn't tracking the car. I'm not tracking but prefer sharp steering and no body roll. This is my 1st vette and I'm really enjoying it. The motor in the rear is an entirely new thing to me, the front end is light, and the car doesn't feel like it's having a tug of war between motor, chassis and drivetrain, everything is going on behind you and you just steer the beast.
Good luck with you upcoming purchase and be sure to post it.
