Minis have fineally arrived in Korea!
Yes, that's right. Minis have fineally arrived in Korea. The first shipment arrived about a week ago. Hopefully we can start a club here in Seoul.
I have had my Mini here for over a year. I imported it from the USA and was only one of 4 Minis in Korea for about a year. Now there will be quite a few
. It will be interesting to see what transpires in the coming months in and around Seoul with the Minis.
Now...get this. The Minis in Korea are being sold for; MC sells for about $30K USD and the MCS sells for about $40K USD!!!!!!! Lots of taxes on the cars.
When I stopped by the dealer here my 2004 MCS get a lot of attention though. 2 people asked me if they could drive it
. I politely told them no and said it was becasue of insurance issues.

Congratulations! I know everybody on the NAM site looks forward to your posts and hearing how the MINI is being received in Korea. This is a great online (and offline) community!

www.motoringfile.com had a brief article a few months ago about the introduction of MINI Coopers in the South Korean market.
it must be very interesting driving such a cool looking carin streets infested with Hyundays, KIAs and the other Korean made automotive gems.
Yes MINIs are very expensive commodities in other parts of the world. Another reason why we should be thankful of the fact that we can afford such a fun and well built vehicle for the price of any cookie-cutter Japanese-Korean car.

All I have been able to get is the Hangul (Korean language) sales brochure and sales flyer with the prices. I stop by there almost every weekend asking for goodies. I do collect Mini stuff:smile:
