dearth of OEM accessories?

I purchased my first Mini (an R60) in 2014. Back then, the official Mini USA website had a ton of accessories for sale. You could get OEM wing mirror covers, valve stem caps, replacement scuttles, cup holder inserts, bonnet stripes, touch up paint, key chains, etc. I loved all of the options to customize/personalize my car.

I recently purchased my second Mini (an F60) and went to the official Mini USA website expecting to find numerous options again, but was disappointed to see they now have very little for sale. And of those few items listed, many are out-of-stock.

Does anyone know why they scaled back? Were the products not selling? Or have they discontinued production of accessories for the current generation because they're preparing to launch a new generation of Minis?

I realized there are third-party websites that have a decent selection of OEM accessories, and I'm happy to patronize those. I'm not necessarily looking for recommendations for other sellers (though I'm certainly happy to get them). I'm simply curious as to why Mini itself doesn't offer much these days? Also, even though the third-party sites appear to have more inventory than Mini itself, they still don't have as many OEM options as I remember from 2014.

They still have options but most are in the F56 F55 and F57 models. Also MINI website is not up to date on accessories for the Gen 3 MINIs, i think they are just not updating the site or not linked. We have lots of them on our site under Genuine MINI.

For example they show sold out: https://www.ecstuning.com/Search/Sit...h/83192361206/

I agree. When I went into my first MINI dealership I was surprised with all the colorful accessories. It was the most "festive" auto dealership I had seen. Jump ahead to recently purchasing my 2024 JWC ALL4 and almost nothing in the dealership resembling what I first experienced.

Yes they remodeled the dealers and took some of the displays for accessories away also. They are not really dead, just not one display. I have seen this at high end car dealers for other makes, they went with the streamlined idea. We have stuff or you can just PM me.
