OEM Sunsshade or not

Ok....so I need to choose between getting the OEM sunshade or one from another vendor. I live in SC and the sun does get pretty hot and I am kind of worried that the OEM may not be the best performing. The top two on my list are the OEM and a Covercraft custom fitted. Any suggestions?

I too thought, "$40? for a sunshade?" Then I got one anyway, and yes, it's worth $40. For one it's OEM with the MINI logo on the front, and who doesn't like OEM with the MINI logo on the front?! Second- it's hard cardboard- won't flop out on you after year. Also makes for a neat dinner tray on those visits to the drive-thru or knee cushion on detailing day. 3- it's form-fitted- you actually don't even need to pull down the sun visors for it to stay put. 4 and 5 are a bonus: I've had 3 BMW owners say, "man- I shoulda got one of those", and the pleather sun-screen "case"? Who gives you a case?!

In other words, 80% bling, 20% function, 100% worth it.

I could not get the OEM to fit, really had to push it hard to get to past the rearview. Well made though

I thought it was a little high $ for a sunshade, but I got it anyway....I LIKE it, it looks good, and the case is a good thing to have too.

I say, go for it! You're already spending over $20,000, what's another $48?

I have had one for over 3.5 years (four Texas summers) and I'd get another one in a heartbeat. I may have to, too, because over time the silver paper at the folds/seams gives out. It still works great, though. I think the MINI logo itself makes it worth it, but that's probably just me.
