Misfire issues
Misfire issues
Hello, new to the Mini forums, and I’m having issues. I have an 2008 R56 Cooper S with 111k miles and at 90k miles I had the head off to replace a bent valve. Anyways, on my way home on the highway the other night I was rolling into the throttle and all the sudden a loss of power and running rough. Pulled over and found the intake boot to be blown off the turbo and the sensor on the crank case vent unplugged. I originally had codes for unmetered air and misfires in cylinder 2. I trailered it home that night and have since replaced all of the spark plugs, coil packs, and today replaced injectors. I have no other codes now besides misfires in cylinder 2 and 4. Now what’s confusing is I can live monitor the misfires with my scan tool and it shows 0 misfires in 2 and 4 but shows a ton in cylinder 3 and occasionally in cylinder 1. I will also note I’ve been running a down pipe since 90k miles and no other mods or tunes. Any advice is greatly appreciated, I’m out of ideas.
Edit: Have since pulled the engine and found a second broken valve on same cylinder in ~30k miles.
Thanks,
Jake
