Performance shop in Austin, TX area?

Hey all, I have an '04 Cooper S that needs some care, and I was thinking I would do some upgrades at the same time. I called Terry Sayther's shop, and they were hesitant to take it on, so I thought I'd see if anyone has other suggestions. Here's the basic list of what I'm considering:

Flush and replace all fluids
Replace spark plugs
Fix oil leak
Check timing chain and tensioner
O2 sensor
Troubleshoot a few other engine code faults
bushings

Upgrades:
brakes
Suspension
supercharger pulley and overdrive pulley

Their primary concern was that since I haven't driven the car much in the past few years that there would be a bunch of lurking hidden problems that would make the whole thing not worth it once they got in there. I appreciate the up front transparency. I've had this car since it was new, though, and don't plan on getting rid of it, so I'd like to find someone who wants to help me get it to better than new condition again.

Thanks!

Sounds like a great job to do yourself? Learning more about it, Maybe someone local can help you do it also. These are not very hard to work on, and there is a ton of videos to walk you through everything. This is only my first time doing a R53 and it was easy just time consuming. You can save yourself thousands doing it yourself which you can spend on lots of aftermarket parts.

Owning one of these for 20 years is a master accomplishment, I never owned a car longer than 5 years LOL. (at 50years old, thats a lot of cars)
