1st Gen R50 JCW badged?

Quick question: Are the JCW model R50 and R53 branded or badge on the exterior being as such (JCW)?

I recently came across an '05 R50 at a used car lot. The salesman claimed it was the JCW edition. The Mini did not have any indicia, badges indicating JCW on it, the hood wouldn't open and no mention on the inside door jamb sticker.
The only thing I thought that made it kinda cool was that it was sporting the full areo kit package including the longer R50 aero wing/spoiler.
I am familiar with the R53s but not the R50s.
How can one tell if an R50 has the JCW package or if it is "justa"?
What kind of performance upgrades were made to an R50 that might visually identify to confirm it is indeed a genuine JCW edition?

Thanks.

According to JCW Register website. yes badged:
JCW Register "How to tell if you have a real R50 JCW"

Maybe that car had been painted with the hatch emblem removed? If so, what about the "blinkers"?

'05 would have been a JCW sound kit car. IIRC, that was a different airbox, DME remap, cat-back (with JCW tips), and a few badges - rear hatch, injector cover, and valve cover. He may have thought that the aero kit makes it a JCW since a lot of people seem to think that the kit is a JCW part for some reason.

That salesman might have thought it a "treasure", despite having "no badges"...

That is Exactly what I thought he thought, made it a JCW.
I noticed no "sport" exhaust tip, the absence of indica badges and it sounded like a standard Mini when we started/revved it up. It might still be a nice 150kmi car though.
I'm making it a point to go back next weekend = He said he'd have one of his guys fix the latch and get the hood open.

The exhaust tip has the JCW logo on the top near the exit, it is visible near the bumper. Our car has it, the exhaust is stainless and has lasted nearly 300k miles..

Yep the JCW sound kit exhaust lasted on mine over 200K, still looks new. Those stock factory for the R53,R52 and R50 all rust out up here in ohio and the salt belt.
