2005 sputtering

My 2005 base is sputtering and has no power. Seems like she wants to die when I'm idling. She is not going uphill like she used to. Help please??

Could be a number of things.
The simplest (in my experience) is fuel starvation. When was the last time the fuel filter had been changed....If ever.
A mechanic (someone mechanically inclined), can check the pressure at the injector rail. (I believe it should be within the 50 - 60psi range (?))
Another fuel related issue could be a failing fuel pump.
I can think of other possibilities that maybe cause, i.e: like a dirty air filter...(from my own experience), but I will let the more seasoned MINI experts chime in in hopes they can assist you figure this out.
I'm hoping for the best for you "mom" - good luck.
