Alta Warnings, Disclaimers and Warranty of Impending DOOM!

I have bought a ton of performance parts for about 13 cars i since 1998. I am in marketing, I am always curious about why companies do the things they do. Intake, suspension Geesh I even helped design and prototype a supercharger and methonal kit for an 06 Eclipse. I have bought a few Perrin and Alta products before for my subie and the Cooper. I have never seen so many warnings! I bought a few of their products but they literally had a page of warnings and legal speak on their wastegate spring. I mean come on...There was a sticker that I put over the visor's set of warnings which I thought was cool. Then I saw a full page of warnings like "this severely alters the performance of your car. It may result in severe injuries and death." Don't step on cracks and avoid black cats as much as possible. I didnt' see any warnings on my other Perrin parts. I think it is a bit close to a legal jargon mess and way over encompassing.

I wonder what a 500 hp shot of NOS says?

I understand that certain things need to be said legally to keep yourself out of financial responsibility for customers actions occasionally. My gym has a Prop 65 Cancer warning (I live in California so there are plenty of warnings) so make sure to not eat the cleaner. Roid heads need food I get it. California usually says parts are not to be driven on public roads. We cant even have tinted windows. The point I am trying to make is Alta products seem to have a book full compared to other companies. Honestly, after reading some of the warranties and warnings I kind of felt bad about many of my life decisions. I might accelerate a bit more when getting on the freeway or drive a bit harder on country roads. Everyday things someone would do with an "enthusiast car".

Is this because they are smart and want to avoid adverse risk and be a trend setter? Do their parts just kick so much *** that it feels like your being raped by a gorilla while accelerating? What are your thoughts?

Things like this are usually a result of legal action being taken. Do you know why there is a “Hot Liquid” warning on your coffee cup? Because a stupid person got burned. My take is that some DB bought a product and had a catastrophic issue and Alta / Perrin caught some flack from it. Now, all they have to do is say “Nope, we warned you” and walk away.

I have to admit , I never heard " alta" parts " kicking ***" .. I haven't had any issues with the few I've used but I was always advised to avoid the alta products fir the r53 , again. I am running an alta 2% lightweight crank ( 0 complaints ) and my car used to have an alta 15% pulley and intake and they both had 0 issues ever and I had no complaints about those either...
I just wish the aftermarket for the r53 had just half of what the r56 does...
but my thought on the " disclaimers" is its just companies trying to cover them selves from idiots with money and lawyers. " ur pulley made my car go too fast and I hit a crowd of people because of it " .. or " I spilt THE FRESH coffee and burnt my self with it " " and its all YOUR FAULT , IM SUING "ya know , those kinda people .
but see my car linked below if you want my opinion on aftermarket parts..

I have seen the same type of warnings on reproduction parts for a 41 Chevy I am working on. These are not performance but reproduction parts. One big issue I see with all these warnings is that the people who need them won't even read the instructions to install the part let alone the warnings. The people who would sue will still sue hoping for a settlement. And the cost of printing and researching this legal crap is sent on to the people who have no need for it just to cover the cost of lawsuits and defense of lawsuits by those who will sue.
