So I’m looking for a Mini to be a daily driver but also be fun to work on and modify. I like the look of 3rd gens more than 2nd, but I also like the 1st gen countrymans. My question is: which one has more room to customize and tune/mod the engine and which one is more fun to drive and own. I had a 3rd gen mini s that I really liked but I have no experience with the Countryman.
