My husband and I just bought this mini cooper from a mechanic. We have only had the car for 2 to 3 weeks and when my husband was coming home from work it started to lose power and sputter. so, when he pulls over the car would not start. we had an appointment to change out the camshaft sensor and the oil the next day. When the mechanic from VIP looked at it they said they found metal around the camshaft sensor which means the car has been running without oil for a while and we need a new motor. The guy we bought it from told us he changed the oil but we noticed when we tapped on the oil light come on so we check it and there was no oil. so we put some in it. What should I do?
