Long Time Gone ...

Hey Folks.

I used to be fairly active here ...then I bought my MINI and got distracted for the longest time. Fun to see what folks are talking about these days.

My '06 has 135K on it now and every mile has been fun. I wish it would last forever. Picture below taken today in my hometown, Ridgefield, CT.

Stay safe and healthy everyone.

Best,

Dean.

Over 5000 posts...I guess you were fairly active here lol. Welcome back. You’ll probably see some of your old forum friends are still here. Some new young guns, and some new...old young guns like me. Your MINI is looking great.

I enjoy seeing other R53s with color matched roofs, it looks good for spending it's time in the northeast. My '06 is still under 100,000 miles, but the failing clearcoat is becoming an eyesore.

Prima products, which I learned about here, have kept it looking good.

I really like the color matched roof. I had ordered an R56 in dark silver with a black roof, but when it came in I changed my mind and went searching for an R53. I got lucky and found mine as a left-over with almost no miles on it. As soon as I saw the color matched roof I had to have it. Thankfully, the rest of the car was optioned just the way I wanted.
