newTIS accuracy

My R60 JCW is in need of brakes and I like to do the work myself when I can. For my own reassurance, have you found the information on newTIS to be accurate? Mainly torque specs and thickness tolerances.

newTIS.info is an unofficial (probably unauthorized) clone of the official BMW TIS system used by BMW/MINI dealers and repair shops (just like RealOEM is an unofficial clone of the BMW parts catalog). Personally, I accept the information as accurate, but nothing is guaranteed since it isn't an official BMW website. The official website which is more complete and up to date is here: https://www.minitis.com/ (requires subscription).

Thanks for your input. I guess I just have to decide if the $30 entrance fee is worth it.

I would trust newTIS information, you could also look into one of the repair manuals as a reliable reference too. I have the bentley and it's helped me through several different repairs including brakes.
