2010 R53 mini cooper
My car is giving me trouble accelerating. It's sluggish after being idle. Shortly after i noticed it was doing that my engine light came on. It's creeping up on 83k miles. Any suggestions on how to fix this issue? Where i currently reside nobody is certified to work on a mini.

If you have a 2010, more than likely it's an R56. You will need more information to post in 2nd Gen forum. You say your engine light is on, you will need the codes before anyone will be able to help you.
