how can I update my gps maps
I have a 2008 Mini Cooper s, 2 door hard top with an in dash gps system. I would like to update the map but dealer said mini stop making replacement cds in 2012. What can I do?

There are some 2014 Navigation DVDs floating around out there from places like eBay and the like...
Do you have to have CD or can your system use the DVDs?
EDIT: I'll add that I have been updating the GPS on my 2005 Porsche 911 (997) for the amount of money involved for the limited DVDs available and the Firmware updates required, I would have been better off getting a really nice Garmin, even the most expensive one would have cost me less then what I have spent so far.

Maps for your 2008 hardtop are on DVD. The final map version for your car is 2015 (no newer version is available). If the dealer doesn't sell it, search eBay for "ccc professional navigation map". You can use either BMW or MINI version of the discs.
