Paint chips on car

Perfect? doubtful. But someone who does it all the time can do a great job. You can probably do a pretty good job if you learn some tricks. I found the best way to do small ones is with toothpicks instead of the brush. That being said my close up eyesight isn't all that great anymore so it is hard to do them well.

I just bought 2006 mini S Red /White roof in very nice condition except the front
hood seems like someone rode behind a stone truck for 12 yrs, must have had 30
good size chips 1/8" .
I just bought Dr Chip and dapped it in each chip and looks ok and put second coat on
and will try and buff it in few days.As I said looks better than chips but I have a
feeling come summer time I will repaint the whole hood. As the guy from De Chip said
3 foot view looks good.

I tried a touch up kit. Ordered from a company that guaranteed a match. I sent them the factory paint description even. I picked out a small chip to try it out. An hour later came back to examine the work and you could tell that a chip had been there only it was a little more obvious that the chip had been. Now I look upon those chips as mementos of wonderful road trips gone by. Only way to make them go away is a full strip and repaint.
