AST suspension

Anybody have any experience with AST products? I just got off a chat session with Sean Myers the NA rep about some questions with their lowering springs. He was very helpful and the product line looks pretty good.

yes, I have installed them on many of our track cars including my X-1. I have found a better solution and a cheaper solution for those interested in competition or street/track/canyon driving

There are lots of different grades of coilovers out there as well as lowering springs. I have another thread in the r52 section specifically on the AST lowering springs as they are different from the R53 relative to rates. The verts are heavier in the back and if the spring is not designed accordingly the rear will settle more than the front. I could be wrong, but thinking only AST has a special lowering set for the convertible.

Also always good to hear ideas/opinions on suspension mods.

I have the SWIFT lowering springs if that's what you want. They work great on the stock shocks
