New AST 5100 Coilover Suspension System for Mini Cooper S R53: $2,900

Everything you need for a great bolt on coilover suspension setup for your R53 Mini Cooper S. Setup was designed for R53 (2003-2006) but most items will also fit a R56 (2006-2013).
All items are brand new and never installed/used.
Setup Includes:
- AST 5100 Series Coilovers
- Vorshlag Front Adj Camber Plates
- Hotchkis Rear Adj Lower Control Arms
- Hotchkis Rear Adj 25.5mm Tubular Rear Sway Bar
- OEM Rear Top Shock Mounts
- Powerflex Rear Top Shock Mount Bushings
- Powerflex Rear Trailing Arm Bushings

I did a lot of research and purchased a very good suspension system but before installing I decided to take my car (2006 Mini Cooper S JCW GP) back to stock or at least close to stock. Due to my indecisiveness, you can get a new suspension at much less than new prices. New cost is $3,600 and I am selling for $2,900 plus shipping. It is like getting a rear sway bar, control arms, and bushings for free. I have included current pricing with the item descriptions, below.
System includes front camber plates and rear top mounts so you can just unbolt your current struts and bolt in this coilover system (no need to hassle with a spring compressor to compress the strut springs).

AST 5100 Series Coilovers ($2,339)
P/N ACU-B1301S with custom spring rate option
http://usa.ast-suspension.com/shop/a...r52-r53-detail
Inverted Monotube shock with height adjustable platform to adjust ride height.
Inverted configuration puts the shock adjusters on the bottom where you can actually reach the adjusters in the rear. Most coilovers have rear adjusters on the top where you cannot adjust without removing the coilover from the car.
Inverted design also provides massive 45mm shaft for strength, especially important for the front.
Custom 6 kg (336 lb/in) Front and 5 kg (280 ib/in) Rear springs (standard is 5 kg [280] / 4 kg [224]). Springs are easily changeable to different rates to match your specific vehicle usage ($89 each for AST, $75 for Swift).
Shocks have 12 adjustment settings for rebound.
Shocks are fully upgradable to AST 5200 (2-way) and 5300 (3-way) series shocks.
Includes rear spacers to fit R53 or R56 trailing arms.

Vorshlag Front Adjustable Camber Plates ($439)
P/N A1-1800-01 with 60mm Spring Perch and AST 5100 options
http://www.vorshlag.com/product_info...roducts_id=206
Plates are for R53 (2002-2006). Would need to exchange plates if using on R56 due to different top hole locations.
Most Mini Cooper experts agree that these are the best adjustable camber plates for the Mini Cooper.
Used to adjust in negative camber at the front suspension to greatly improve handling. Replaces failure prone rubber OEM top strut mounts. Also helps eliminate strut tower mushrooming.
Can pre-mount these to the front coilovers for an easy installation.

Hotchkis Rear Adjustable Lower Control Arms (Retail $305, Online $259)
P/N13800 (set of 2)
http://www.hotchkis.net/product/2002...rt-suspension/
Fits R53 and R56 Mini Coopers.
Two adjustable rear lower control arm to adjust rear camber. When you lower the car the rear camber goes towards too much negative camber and needs to be adjusted back to a normal amount, such as -1 deg which you can do with these adjustable arms. 2002 through 2004 have no OEM rear camber adjustment. 2005 and on have slight OEM camber adjustment but not enough adjustability to compensate for lowering more than a half inch.

Hotchkis Rear Adjustable 25.5 Tubular Rear Sway Bar (Retail $277, Online $254)
P/N 22810R
http://www.hotchkis.net/product/2002...rear-sway-bar/
Fits R53 and R56 Mini Coopers.
Used to adjust rear stiffness to reduce understeer. Has greaseable bushings to eliminate squeaks. Since hollow, only weighs 5.5 lbs.
Compliments stiffer springs and front camber plates for outstanding handling.
Again, most Mini Cooper experts agree that this is the best adjustable sway bar for the Mini Cooper.

OEM Left Rear Shock Mount (Retail $86, Online $69)
P/N 33526754123
http://eminiparts.com/parts/2006/Min...=Strut%20mount
Can pre-mount these Left and Right mounts, along with the Powerflex bushings, to the rear coilovers for an easy installation.

OEM Right Rear Shock Mount (Retail $86, Online $69)
P/N 33526754124
Fits R53.
See Left Mount above for descriptive information.

Powerflex Rear Top Shock Mount Bushings ($70)
P/N PFR-115x2 (Street - Yellow)
http://powerflexusa.com/bmwminigener...-pfr5-115.aspx
Fits R53 and R56.
Use with the Rear Shock Mounts. Replaces the weak OEM bushings that tend to flatten out.

Powerflex Rear Trailing Arm Bushings ($108)
P/N PFR5-1104x2 (Street - Purple)
http://powerflexusa.com/minigen1rear...ntbushing.aspx
Fits R53.
Replaces the rubber OEM bushing that tends to compress. Helps maintain proper rear wheel alignment.

If you decide to separate, I'm interested in (and like first dibs on) these two items:

Hotchkis Rear Adjustable 25.5 Tubular Rear Sway Bar
Hotchkis Rear Adjustable Lower Control Arms

Thnx!

I am glad to split apart if there are members that want the other items separately, such as coilovers and camber plates.
