junk yard score
So i went to a u pull it junk yard today that told me they had an 06 r53. I'm in need of a super charger and was hoping for the best. so after an hour long drive i walk back to this 06 R53 and find a base model R56. So not wanting to waste the trip i make lemonade.
48 bucks!!!! Now i have to figure out how to put them in.

Nice score! I’ve had everything for this conversion a couple of years now and still haven’t installed them yet.
You’ll need a set of R56 shock bushings like these: https://www.waymotorworks.com/r56-re...ngs-or-gp.html. The install info I’ve seen also says the hose between the fuel filler and tank rubs slightly on the left arm so small mod is needed for clearance. I’ve read conflicting info on whether the R56 wheel speed sensors work, or if you need to use the R53 sensors with bushings to fit them into the aluminum arms.

Thanks i was hoping that was all i needed. I know I will also need lug nuts. as i will bee using the R56 wheel bearings. i already have R56 bearings on the front due to a part counter guy looking up the wrong year. this will make all my lugs the same size.
