Coding - Carly or E-Sys

I just got my F54 Clubman S ALL4 last week and I want to do some coding. Any recommendations as to whether to go for E-Sys or Carly?

It seems like Carly may be easier to use but perhaps E-Sys has more it can do?

One thing I'm not sure is possible is to reduce the volume of the acoustic beep when locking/unlocking the car. I have the alarm system and I like having a beep but its very loud! I'm also looking to do some things like fold in the mirrors when locking/unlocking (yes I have the power mirrors).

I've got both and am in Buffalo too. I think I offered up doing some coding for your a month ago before you got your clubman.

I can show you both and you can decide which one you prefer. There are things I like and dislike about both.

Hey! Go figure you're the guy to respond here too!!!

I still absolutely had you in mind, but I didn't realize you had both tools and was wanting to do a little research. I'll get in touch via the FB!

iCarly is easier to use, but has a higher upfront cost. ESYS only requires a $25 investment for the cable and maybe an hour or two to familiarize yourself with the process, but is much more powerful.

No way to adjust alarm beep volume that I've seen though.

Thanks siriuszero. Boo on the alarm sound. I had a feeling that may be the case but I figured I'd put it out there in case I was missing something.

I'm not sure if esys works with R series models. If you do the research and find out if esys is used for that, or if there is a different software just let me know. I have no problem installing other software to help you out. (as long as it doesn't cost anything)

NCSExpert is the software for R-series MINIs and the cable will be different as well, unless someone has discovered how to make the ENET cables work with NCSExpert...

You used to have to need a usb to OBD2 cable called a DCAN cable
