Carpet Removal
The tan carpet on my new to me R52 JCW is dirty. Big surprise, tan carpet didn't last?
Anyone do this? How difficult?
Finding a part out donor should be easy. I haven't taken delivery yet, so I dont know how bad it is. If its easy, I'd like to just swap for black to avoid future problems.

I'd try getting it professionally cleaned first .... or at least rent a steam carpet cleaner with an upholstery attachment ... but going to a GOOD Detailer is probably better
I recarpeted my 79 ... and I'd try and get it cleaned first ....
to put down a new carpet everything that touches the floor must come out ... not just the front seats, but the seat mounts too ... and the console and all the things connected to it .. and the various kick panels ...
it was 'easy' on the 79 as there are no electronic gizmos to mess up, but it still took me a couple of nights ....
p.s. a pro can also dye the carpet ... going to black would cover many sins
