After 9 Years, time to say goodbye

I've had my Mini for about 9 years now, driven her 55,000 miles, and invested thousands in mods to make her more fun to drive. My Mini has been a great car, and has always turned heads.

Recently, I felt I needed something different to drive, and was not inspired by the new 2016 models as I hoped I would be. Even the new JCW. I wanted more horse power.

so later tonight, I turn the keys over, and say goodbye to NAM as I move on to my next ride. This forum has been fantastic, and helped me learn so much about the car before mine was even delivered.

All my best to all of you in the NAM community.

He posted it in the other MINI forum. It's an American muscle car with more than twice the HP of a JCW.

That's literally anything lol. New JCW is what, 220bhp?240?

Pretty much every 2016 V8 "muscle" car has twice the power of the JCW.

I hope he got a Mustang of some sort. I've driven an tuned EcoBoost 'Stang with IRS, and it is pretty good on Tortilla Flats (popular canyon road out here in AZ, although I still pulled on him in the corners in my MINI ). Add a Coyote or a Voodoo motor, and it would be frighteningly good.

I can't image what the transition from a corner-eating-MINI to a Hellcat would be like, though. Tire shredding for days.

Good luck, Rockridge! May forced induction once again enter your life at some point.

I have ordered a 2016 Challenger 392 Skat Pack Shaker. I have wanted one since i was a child in the early 70's. loved the car even more once I saw the moving Vanishing point.

New car will have 485 HP and nearly the same in Torque. Looking for a fun cruiser that I can smoke the tires on.

Thanks everyone.

Now if I can only remember who made my "cars" cartoon version of my Mini that's in my sig, it would be nice to get one for my bright orange challenger.

Sweet man! There's one at my work that I park my MINI across from, I'll snap a photo one of these days!

I've been doing recreational graphic design since high school! I could take a stab at it for you, if you'd like! Email sarom058s@gmail.com!

It's also at least $13,000 more MSRP - and burns twice as much gas. On the other side of the coin, if you care for it and hold onto it, it should be worth alot of coin down the road.

I find this interesting because I'm moving the opposite direction. Just this week I dumped a ~400HP V8 car to get a Mini. I just don't get enough enjoyment out of 350 - 400+ HP monster cars anymore. I know...weird right?

Outside of a track, ridiculous power seems...well.....ridiculous. Maybe its just the outrageous traffic at most times around here.

I guess I'm of the mind that its better to drive a slow car fast than a fast car slow.

And its usually alot cheaper too.

This is funny, but bound to happen. I enjoyed my Mini for 9 years, and might be back after my fling with high HP. Enjoy your ride!

Enjoy your new car! I traded my mustang GT 2014 for my 2016 MCS with JCW tuning kit and I must say that I prefer the mini over the mustang is more fun to drive
