What is your favorite MINI modification?

What modification did you make to your MINI that has worked the best?

Was it a performance upgrade, an accessory or something cosmetic?

For the new owner of a used MINI, what is the first thing you would recommend?

I just got mine too - and its getting the fluids done first. Then the Strut plates. I already have a cat back.

I just put the Bilstein B14 suspension on mine a few weeks ago. What a major improvement in ride, looks, and performance!

Getting rid of those damn run flats is a close 2nd.

I just meant in general. Coilovers are best bang for your buck for aesthetics and handling It's the first thing I buy every time.

Have runflats on the 04 MCS I just picked up. Problem is, they look almost new! I'm just going to have to wear them out. What did you replace yours with?

Michelin Sport Pilot A/S 3+

They were great. Combined with the suspension...awesome!

I think the general consensus for supercharged mini's is a pulley and rear sway bar for best bang for your buck mods. I was certainly happy when I did these, but have to say it was being able to hear the whine after I installed a DDM CAI that really made me fall in love with the car.

Other little farkles that still make me smile:
Ian Culls auto-up
LightinSight lens
HELIX short shift kit
euro shelf

Happy modding!

I know there are mixed reviews on the sprint booster, but, for me, the 17% pulley and sprint booster combo is absolutely awesome.

Reinforced strut tower plates with tower brace. I think this is a must specially living in ohio with all the pot holes.

I actually like all my mods, see signature. Hard to pick just one, they just seem to keep piling on

We hear the same from our customers, mdaz75. Thanks for sharing!

For first gens, if equipped with the H/K system....

the HK Enabler

Takes a flat boomy experience to new levels with a good head unit.
After that, the VIP Strut tower brace and DDM intercooler diverter

Good input on the sound system!

For strut braces, here are some suggestions:

On my R53...definitely the 15% pulley. I'm annoyed I waited as long as I did to do that one.

Only my R55...a P3Cars VIDI. Give back some of the missing gauges, and looks cleaner than additional gauges while also giving more info. But in a few days, it will be finally ditching the run-flats for some nice summer rubber.
