Saw a Mini Pickup

It went by too fast for me to get a pic, but the guy had cut the roof in back of the front seats and closed in the cab. Looked like he was carrying a dishwasher in the back. No tailgate. It looked functional on a small scale.

could be one of the Red Bull cars ... I believe they've sold off the originals - GEN1 cars

No, it was not that nice-no tailgate. I suspect it was a rear ended wreck, re purposed.

classic pickups are a hot commodity today .... most were run into the ground ... but this was a factory product for a long time and retained the sliding windows and external door hinges WAY after the cars had moved on.

{a classic example of the significance of MINI vs Mini in discussion btw . . .}

The classic Mini pickups are very rare , i have only seen a couple at PVGP.
