I have noticed that my heater takes a very long time to heat up and then once it is heated, it begins blowing cold air out when the vehicle is at a stop. Am I going crazy!? Has anyone ever had an issue like this happen with their mini?
Sounds like a coolant leak at the thermostat housing or somewhere else. The coolant will run low and then when you rev the engine the pump pushes more coolant into the heater core with a little bit a air.
had the same thing happen and it was my thermostat housing with crack at the bottom pooling coolant on top of the transmission so I did not see any on the ground.
Start here with looking at the thermostat housing for leak, water pump, then water pipe, and also the bottom of the expansion tank. 11537534521 KT
