Moving: PHL to HOU

So I've decided to relocate to Houston, I will be driving my R56 there starting next Saturday. Just wondered if anyone else has used any of the big luggage carriers on their mini and what their experience has been like or if anyone has any recommendations for one.

Also, any suggestions on what services aside from an oil change, tire rotation, and alignment I should get before the big trip?

Thanks!

I live in the burbs SW of Houston. I don't know how much driving you will be doing inside the Houston City limits, but be prepared for terrible streets filled with potholes. Houston has a lame duck Mayor and doesn't give a rats *** about the condition of the streets. Fortunately, my Clubman is not a daily driver and the roads in my community are excellent. I avoid driving in Houston at all costs. Good luck with your move.

I was just there for a month and that was one of the first things I noticed when I drove around! Fortunately (or unfortunately) the roads in Philadelphia aren't much better so my R56 is used to it! Thank you

The good news is there are three MINI dealerships in the area. Woodlands (North), Clear Lake (South) and Momentum (SW).
