How hard is it to change the upper dash trip. Wife wants something different than the silver dash trim on her 2011 Clubman. I found the parts on ECS site but just trying to figure out how much hassle it is to do it. It is the 2 pieces one behind the Tac and the other is the secret compartment door. I have had experience doing this as I equipped California Highway Patrol vehicles for over 30 years both Black and White and undercover vehicles so I know about tearing apart dashboards. My wife want to jazz Lulu up a little. She wants the black fender and rocker trim painted body color, tinted windows and wheels and tires if I can find some she likes and the interior upgraded. No tuning or lowering allowed. She is thinking of removing the bonnet stripes and painting the outside mirrors body color. Like she said, "she has never had her OWN car to have like she wants it" She is 68 and loves her little toy. Now if I could just teach her to pay attention to the the dash and when it tells here it needs attention. It is 150s mile past due for service and she never noticed, if it even told her.

Not too hard, They snap in with these plastic holder and have metal pegs on the back for the one behind the tach. Move the steering wheel down to the lowest setting on the adjustment. pop out , replace the old pegs to the new one and pop it in. On the secret compartment , press and lift up the secret compartment and then two screws on #8
