Stock R53 head unit with amp

Hi all. I'm adding an amp to power the component speakers (2-way front, coax rear and sub) I've added. I plan to use the Audio Control brand speaker level to 6 RCA preamp level converter. Does anyone have a better approach to feed preamp signal to multichannel amp inputs, or experience with this type of product from Audio Control? It's the LC6i.

I want to retain the stock HU, unless anyone can suggest a HU with matched illumination color, steering wheel controls, aux, XM, iPod/iPhone, CD text/iPhone text and separate input volumes per input source. All I'm really looking for is clean preamp inputs to the amp. I think...

Thank you.

Did you ever figure this out? I'm trying to do something similar. Thanks!
