Hydro Dip

Has anyone had experience with hydro dipping? Appearance, durability, etc. I'm looking into doing some small parts. Looking into Liquid Concepts.

From what I have seen it's the next generation vinyl wrap but maybe not as "durable" when applications are for exterior MINI parts such as mirror covers. I have seen some parts hydrodipped with multiple layers which made it thicker, and possibly more durable. Time will tell.

A friend had his mirror covers done and is in the process of using clear plastic dip over them. He said it gave the covers a matt finish and could bring them back with the PD gloss top coat.

He also did his intake air box top cover with a carbon fiber pattern which looks killa. Would just need to be careful when using engine degreasers in that area.

There are more than a few Hydrodipping utube clips which are very good.

Thanks. There are many variations, and multiple companies selling products. Hunting down the closest pattern to match with the JCW dash panels. Curious how the hold up is once covered with the clear.
