I miss my MINI!!

I haven't been on NAM in a while. I used to own this r56 factory JCW:
I miss my MINI!!-xrvwj.jpg

I installed various upgrades like akrapovic dp, cobb stage 2 tune, alta cai and many more. It was my pride and joy and I loved every minute of its burbling joy ride(every drive was a joy ride). Some personal things happened and long story short, I sold that MINI and purchased a 07 bmw z4m.

after a year of owning the powerful, refined and respectable bmw, I am online constantly looking at used MINIs! I miss the experience of the MINI handling and personality. I can't afford to own both...I love the z4m but I miss the mini dearly...is there something wrong with me?

Theres nothing wrong with you! ha ha You had a nice R56 though! Did you have a GP wing on it? I think the best thing to do is get right back in another MINI! Quickly!!

Nah, can't blame you. MINIs are unique -- so Not Normal -- that I can't imagine driving anything else right now. Even a car with more power or other defining elements wouldn't be nearly as much fun, and face it: MINIacs are an Awesome ownership/enthusiast family that's hard to beat.

Nothing that selling that BMW and buying a MINI again won't fix.

I actually own a BMW Z4M. What a small world. Do not get me wrong I am in love with the BMW but my new mini handles the corners in a way that the BMW cannot match. I do not think you are crazy at all. Since I own both I know I can speak from experience.

Wow I shocked to hear that the minis are better handlers than the z4ms, I thought those were supposed to be phenomenal. Maybe the minis just that good...

In a way you are comparing two very different things that aren't really design with the same intent in mind. The BMW is meant to have a certain level of refinement to meet a level of luxury status the MINI isn't trying to do. So it's natural that the BMW will be more tamed from better balance between performance and comfort as well as from a more plush interior feel. It's hard to get it all
